BALLET
With the guidance of our dedicated and professional teachers we will be working towards our Primary ISTD Ballet examination. It is not compulsory to take the examination if a pupil does not want to. Everybody will however be working towards their Primary International Dance Rewards which compliments the ISTD syllabus. There are badges and certificates to be earned each term.
Lots of opportunities exist for taking part in local dance festivals and of course our annual show.
TAP
We will work towards our Primary ISTD Tap exam. Again it is not compulsory to take the exam.
The Primary Tap International Dance Rewards syllabus will compliment the ISTD syllabus with badges and certificates to be earned each term.
ACRO
A very popular genre which is acrobatics combined with dance, both boys and girls love it.
We will be following the Acrobatic Arts syllabus which helps the children to progress through each technique safely and correctly building the strength and flexibility they need to master the movements such as forward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, bridges and walkovers progressing on to more advanced movements. No prior experience necessary! There will also be an opportunity to take Acrobatic exams (not compulsory) complimented by the Acro Primary International Dance rewards with badges and certificates to be awarded each term.
DANCECATZ MINIS
Introducing from September exciting new classes for Dancecatz Minis.
Minis 1 – Age 18 months to rising 3’s (parent participation)
Minis 2 – Age 3 to 4 (no parents)
Minis Stomp – Age 3 to 4 (no parents)
Offering many different dance genres and opportunities. Syllabuses include Circus Extravaganza, Magical Movement, Around the World, Pop Stars, Movie Madness and Cheer-tastic. A different syllabus each half term. We will incorporate key development skills into all of these, such as skipping, galloping, jumping, hopping etc.
First lesson is free and then a trial of three lessons for £15.
PRICES
Each 45 minute class is £7.50 per week regardless of the genre. This is payable half termly in advance, by bank transfer, details of which will be on the invoice.
If two 45 minute classes are attended, ie. Tap and Ballet plus Acro, there is a discount and the cost will be £14 per week rather than £15.
We offer a trial of 3 lessons for £18 per 45 minute class
